Our roof was very old and needed a great deal of extra wood work. We actually paid a great deal more than our original estimate because the man estimating couldn't tell what was under our shingles. That was not his fault. Now our roof is perfect and beautiful. We had three leaking areas that are repaired. They replaced our kitchen window so they could put in a smaller one. This allowed them to add a slope to our flat roof. They worked very hard to make sure everything was done to perfection both inside and outside. I can't say enough about their crews. They were wonderful! They continually worked very hard ALL day except a half hour lunch. They cleaned EVERYTHING up including the smallest bits of trash. I highly recommend you use River City Roofing for your home. Five stars isn't enough!!!

UNBELIEVABLE JOB! In my business life, I always require at least 3 quotes for major projects. Dealing with quotes can be overwhelming and time consuming so, when possible, I ask people I know and trust to give me their number 1 choice. This was the case when I needed a new roof before year end as my insurance company had notified me they were nonrenewing. I believe I had 3 qualified companies recommended to me, but there is no doubt in my mind that choosing River City Roofing was the best choice. It started with the call to Wanda. She took the time to understand my needs and timeline and because it was a short timeline she arranged for the owner of River City to come out and quote my job the very next day. He was incredibly humble and took all the time in the world to walk me through the choices and process to insure I was comfortable with everything. I told him I was very pleased with everything, but that my personality wouldn't allow me to just take the first proposal I got. He understood and said he would have me a written proposal the following day and we could go from there. He did just that and I completed my other 2 quote meetings shortly after that. In all 3 situations I actually talked to each of the owners. River City's quote came in between the other 2 quotes, but again there was no doubt in my mind they were the company to choose. We set a date, they showed up when they said they would and finished the job in 2 days. Being it was late November and daylight was short, we agreed that the trailer would be left overnight. The next morning the foreman of the job came out himself and made sure everything was cleaned up and in the trailer before pulling it off. I've been on the roof and it is magnificent. There were no issues with the major storm which just passed through and I don't expect there ever will be. If there is, the roof came with a warranty, and because the company has been around for decades, I know they will be there to take care of it. I've had 2 neighbors, who know how I approach major expenditures, come and ask me if I was happy with everything because if I was they knew who they were going to call since the process seemed to go very smoothly and the roof looked great. AGAIN, UNBELIEVABLE JOB!

I called for a roof inspection as my insurance company was not going to renew my policy. Not only did I receive a call back the same day, Joe came out that day and completed the inspection. Joe completed and forward the inspection report to me the next day so I could forward the documents to my insurance company.

8/18/23 Update:

These comments are related to River City Roofing installing new roof on my 2 story home. I did shop around, after comparing estimates I decided to stay with a company I know (used previously) and trust. There price was more but the quality of the materials were a better grade and the warranty was for a longer time frame. I would highly recommend them for your roofing needs and I will be using them again should the need arise.

RC installed new roof in 2017 and we have had a leak or two since then. They responded early on first leak and only charged for labor... minimal. On more recent leak (same place!) it took a few conversations and getting connected to the right individual there. Initial estimate by them to fix was nearly $3000. Wut? Second visit from actual specialist from RC found simple repair which was done at no charge and no more leak. Respect and confidence restored in this company. So diligence on owners part is good idea.

My parents roof got damaged during hurricane and was leaking. This company had a crew at the house right away and did a temporary fix to prevent from getting more damaged inside. Mrs. Wanda was super nice and did all the trouble dealings with insurance. Staff at the office were always friendly and crew did an amazing job on the roof and cleaning behind. My roof will be next. I recommend this company.

The roofer installation itself was very quick and the roof looks great, the leaks were fixed. I gave 3 stars because when they left their materials at my location I noticed they also did not clean up. Nails, roofing debris were everywhere, plastic from unpacking the materials. Everywhere I took pictures and contacted the company stating these things they informed me they would comb the place over and pick up the remaining materials within the next two days a week goes by and nothing. I had reached out to the company multiple times about debris I ended having to go directly to the building, and tell them that if they didn't pick up their materials and everything by the end pf the week I'm going to put it by the side of the road. If they don't care for their materials why should I. They picked up the materials, though did not clean up the mess that was left behind.. I am also having to clean up all the debris myself so my dog doesn't step on any6or eat anything. If they had I would have sued. That is my main beef, no clean up was done and materials were left at my place for a week. I am not a storage unit.

River City Roofing is the best roofing company in Jacksonville. I live in South Carolina about 4 hours from Jacksonville. My sister's and I researched between ten and fifteen roofing companies before finally settling on River City. River City was chosen because of the professionalism exhibited to me and my family. Joe was the first to come out survey the house take measurements and give an estimate. Later we were introduced to Carrie wow, she was full of knowledge and she took us by the hand, explained everthing. It was important for me to have everything coordinated since I was coming from four hours away. I really felt everthing was set up after speaking with carrie so I left Carolina and headed to Florida. The crew arrived earlier than I expected and starred the roof repairs. These guys impressed me they were nonstop until the work was done. Of course, they paused for lunch. The did a really impressive job and cleaned up as if they lived there. The next day I drove to the company to make final payment and to thank Carrie for her professionalism and kindness. I was greeted by Stephanie who was polite and courteous. She announced me to Carrie and I thanked her. This is a good company and my only regret is they're not in South Carolina thank you guys, my sister's and I are we pleased. Oh yes, the price we paid was a good deal too.
